I found the trails at the north section of Vickery Creek to be what I consider true hiking trails and not nature walks. Eighty percent of the hike is on flat and easy terrain, while the other twenty percent covers hills of moderate descent / ascent. Since I take no pleasure in seeing the same thing twice if I can avoid it, I chose a nice 3.8-mile loop that alternates between following the creek and following the ridges above the creek, which rise as much as 100 feet above the water. Trails in the northern section of Vickery Creek (aka Big Creek) crisscross the park. and Mrs.Vickery Creek North Loop Trail (click to enlarge)ĭownload the Vickery Creek North Trail Map (PDF)ĭifficulty: Easy with a few moderate climbs It was such an ease working with Monique and Lawrence and you definitely can’t go wrong with beautiful couples madly in love! Congratulations to the future Mr. Of course, I’m always pumped for every wedding I get to photograph, but who wouldn’t be extra excited for a Star Wars themed wedding on actual Star Wars day?! May 4th only happens to be on a Saturday every few years, so I’d say they planned that pretty perfectly. Monique and Lawrence have their wedding set for May 4th of this year, as they’re planning a Star Wars themed back yard wedding, and I’m not going to lie, I’m SUPER pumped for it. Talk about tears! When I read her sweet words, I felt so honored and incredibly happy that capturing love stories like theirs is what I get to do for a living. it’s about what your work captures so beautifully in these photos- that I just really love this man and I can’t wait to spend my life with him! Thank you so much! You really are remarkable at what you do! (I can’t even being to imagine how I’ll react to the wedding photos)” “Candice! I am going through these literally crying right now! Planning a wedding started to get me so stressed out but my gosh these pictures are breathtaking! They remind me that it’s not about the wedding, the caterers, or the crazy planning. I love what Monique said to me after I sent their engagement photos! Be yourself, don’t overthink it, and as I tell my couples when posing them, just flirt it out and act like I’m not there photographing you! Simply ENJOY this time with your fiancé and view it as a fun date! My CHP couples leave each session feeling more relaxed about the wedding day, AND they get beautiful photos of them together that captures their love and unique story. This is also a great opportunity to get to know your photographer and them get to know you and your fiancé better! It can be intimidating not knowing how to pose correctly, but that’s why it’s so important to hire a professional photographer (like me!) to show you how to look your best and end up LOVING how you look when you see the pictures. I love every picture that was taken and especially love how the film scans turned out! (Shout out to The Find Lab for being an awesome film lab and always making my film dreams come true)! Having engagement photos taken is always a great idea, as it’s the perfect way to get used to being in front of the camera with your photographer before the actual wedding day. I photographed this engagement session hybrid, which means I had my digital camera on one hip, and my film camera on the other. From the waterfall, to the bridge, and the beautiful trails, it was the perfect backdrop for their intimate engagement session. I had so much fun with Monique and Lawrence during their engagement session a few weeks ago! We decided to take them at Vickery Creek Trail at The Roswell Mill and it did not disappoint.
